Karey Fey, Founder

I have always felt most at home in the kitchen.  This is where I learned to roll out pie crusts with my grandmother, and make pasta for the masses with my mom.  It’s the place that has always connected me to the people in my life.
Years of cooking for family and friends led me back to school where I earned a degree in culinary arts from Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon.  After school I decided to head south to the food and wine epicenter…Napa Valley.  Here I had the fortune of working as Concierge and Private Events Manager for Thomas Keller at his top rated The French Laundry restaurant . 
After years in the Bay Area I decided it was time to head home.  Upon my arrival home to Seattle I was greeted home by a kitchen full of nieces and nephews that loved being in the kitchen with me.  That’s when I knew it was time to get back to what I love most…

Apron in the Community

We all have a responsibility to do what we can to give back to this great region in which we live.  At Apron we try to do our part by supporting local organizations dedicated to assuring that the children grow up healthy, happy, and hopefully with an understanding of their food's origin.
